Organization

NEBRA is a U. S. 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-governmental organization, registered in New Hampshire, serving the public interest.  NEBRA was formed as the "New England Biosolids and Residuals Association" on December 22, 1997 and applied to the U. S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for exempt status in 1998. The IRS granted exempt status in a letter dated May 12, 1999.  NEBRA's name was changed to "North East Biosolids and Residuals Association" on November 15, 2006, and was recognized as such by the State of New Hampshire on May 19, 2008 and by the IRS on October 7, 2008.  These documents and supporting information are available from the NEBRA office for public inspection during normal business hours.

Finances

NEBRA's fiscal year runs from January 1 to December 31.
