Franklin Training Center, Franklin, NH.  5 training credit hours (TCHs).  This class will provide key concepts and details for application of Class A and Class B biosolids in a variety of uses, including agriculture, horticulture, and land reclamation.  Larger applications of biosolids must follow agronomic rates; we’ll review the calculations, run through examples, and emphasize the challenge of excess phosphorus in biosolids created by removing phosphorus from effluent and options for solving it. We’ll also cover required field practices, such as setbacks & site evaluation, and best management practices to avoid potential environmental and social (neighbor) impacts.  Instructors:  Ned Beecher (NEBRA), Andrew Carpenter (Northern Tilth).  Produced by NHWPCA, NEBRA, with assistance of NH DES.
